The nearby village of Woolacombe boasts one of the most beautiful beaches in the country. Woolacombe has also gained The Seaside Award for its excellent facilities. With the Blue Flag being won most years.

For sheer beauty, the local beach at Saunton Sands has much to offer. Five miles of golden sands stretching as far as the eye can see, with the dunescape of Braunton Burrows nestling in the background making one of the most picturesque scenes in the whole country.
